    As of today, July, 1st 2021, there is no need to worry about part-time jobs in Victoria if you are open to taking any work.

       BC's minimum wage is $15.20 per hour. As a full-time student, a student is permitted to work a maximum of 20 hours per week. It depends on some terms and conditions on your study permit.

Due to Covid-19, international full-time students can work up to 40 hours in essential services.

These are general jobs, additionally, work-from-home jobs are also available based on work experience like call center jobs, online sales, data entry, etc...


There is one government setup, especially for newcomers who want to settle. The only requirement is the SIN number for this. They help in a variety of guidance/suggestions for a newcomer to settle and find a job etc. A dedicated counselor will be assigned to you, who will be calling you periodically to assess the progress and will also refer you to different other government departments, which can you help your write resumes, give you training to groom skills, prepare you for interviews, arrange meetings with mentors, keep sending you jobs of your interest, etc. I think newcomers or people who want support from the government to settle can get in touch with them.
